The LSFI is pleased to invite you to its upcoming in-person, free\u00a0masterclass on\u00a0Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF)<\/strong><\/span> on Tuesday 16th\u00a0April<\/strong><\/span>, from 9:00 to 13:00hrs.<\/p>\n

What is the masterclass about?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Following up on the work and the recommendations of the LSFI Working Group on Climate Measurement and Reporting<\/a>, the LSFI is organising an in-person masterclass to delve into\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span>PCAF\u00a0standard<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The working group has recommended the PCAF standard<\/strong><\/span> as\u00a0a very suitable and comprehensive methodology to support financial institutions in measuring\u00a0GHG emissions<\/strong><\/span>, the first step in their net zero transition.<\/p>\n

The masterclass will introduce the standard\u00a0as well as how to use it by\u00a0incorporating\u00a0both theoretical and practical elements<\/strong><\/span>. It will\u00a0offer\u00a0the audience concrete information regarding its implementation, firsthand insights\u00a0and best practices.<\/p>\n

09:45 to 10:45<\/span> \u2013 Introduction to PCAF and Q&A, by Marco Tormen, Europe and DACHLI Lead at Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF).<\/p>\n

10:45 to 12:45<\/span> \u2013 Case studies, and best practices from industry experts (stay tuned, speakers are to be announced soon!).<\/p>\n

Who does the masterclass target?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The masterclass targets Luxembourg’s financial professionals, ideally those engaged in sustainable finance or with some exposure to the field. Previous experience or knowledge of PCAF is not necessary.<\/p>\n

What is PCAF?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

PCAF is an industry-led initiative developed in 2015 as a\u00a0carbon emission measuring standard for absolute GHG emissions<\/strong>.<\/span> Its objective is to facilitate financial industry alignment with the Paris\u00a0Agreement Goals<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>by helping financial institutions assess and disclose the GHG emissions associated with their financial activities<\/span> <\/strong>(e.g., their loans and investments) through GHG accounting.<\/p>\n
