Initiatives such as the W<\/em><em>i<\/em><em>F Charter in Luxembourg play a critical role in turning commitment into measurable action by setting clear standards, accountability, and visibility around progress. Transparency is equally essential: when organisations openly track and report gender metrics, they build trust, accelerate change, and ensure momentum does not stall. While commitment across Luxembourg\u2019s financial sector remains, with an increased number of signatories and progress, accelerating this progress in the highest leadership positions is the next critical step to ensure the targets are met in line with the timeline set.\u201d <\/em>\u2013 Nicoletta Centofanti, LSFI CEO and Luxembourg WiF Charter Data Partner.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><u>Signatories characteristics: 7 new signatories in 2025<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The number of signatories grew <span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>from 78 in 2024 to 85<\/strong><\/span> as of 31 December 2025.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Banks<\/strong><\/span> remain the <span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>largest subsector<\/strong><\/span> represented, increasing from 34 to 38.<\/li>\n<li>41% of the signatories are small firms, 25% are medium firms, and 34% are large firms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><u>Workforce distribution: Part-Time work remains disproportionately female<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Women<\/strong><\/span> account <span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>for 47.1% of the total signatories\u2019 workforce<\/strong><\/span>, a stable figure.<\/li>\n<li>More than <span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>7 out of every 10 part-time<\/strong><\/span> positions are held by women.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><u>Representation at senior roles: Women\u2019s representation has increased slightly, but men continue to be more represented in senior roles.<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Women <span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>representation has risen for <\/strong><strong>ExCo<\/strong><strong>\/C-Suite roles<\/strong><\/span> from 29.9% in 2024 to 32.4% in 2025.<\/li>\n<li>Representation at the <span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Board level declined<\/strong><\/span> from 29.8% to 28.5%, moving further away from the average target of 34.4% set by signatories.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Men <\/strong><\/span>continue to be more represented in the most senior leadership positions, being <span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>roughly twice as likely <\/strong><\/span>as women to hold <span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>top leadership roles<\/strong><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><u>Women representation by seniority out of 10<\/u><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-25339 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/lsfi.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Women-representation-by-seniority-out-of-10-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1444\" height=\"666\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lsfi.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Women-representation-by-seniority-out-of-10-1.png 1444w, https:\/\/lsfi.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Women-representation-by-seniority-out-of-10-1-300x138.png 300w, https:\/\/lsfi.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Women-representation-by-seniority-out-of-10-1-1024x472.png 1024w, https:\/\/lsfi.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Women-representation-by-seniority-out-of-10-1-768x354.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1444px) 100vw, 1444px\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Note: The variation only considers the year-over-year evolution of the 2024 signatories (i.e., 75 signatories), which is reflected in the percentage change. However, the current representation reflects the situation of the 2025 workforce (i.e., 85 signatories).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><u>Targets: Ambitious target signalling commitment but many still in progress <\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Target-setting<\/strong><\/span> continues to <span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>strengthen<\/strong><\/span>: 79 (up from 68) signatories now have targets for Senior Management, 69 for Board representation (up from 63), and 53 for ExCo\/C-Suite levels (up from 50).<\/li>\n<li>Overall, women\u2019s representation is below the average targets set for all managerial levels, with variations among subsectors. Efforts also focus on<span style=\"color: #003366;\"> <strong>fair recruitment and promotion<\/strong><\/span> practices through gender-neutral job language, diverse interview panels, and unconscious bias training for leaders. Leadership development remains also a priority, with organisations ensuring equal gender representation in talent programmes.
