{"id":2810,"date":"2021-12-02T14:41:30","date_gmt":"2021-12-02T14:41:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lsfi.lu\/?p=2810"},"modified":"2021-12-02T14:41:30","modified_gmt":"2021-12-02T14:41:30","slug":"input-to-national-approaches-an-analysis-of-sustainable-finance-roadmaps-charting-the-path-to-financial-system-transformation-by-fc4s","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lsfi.lu\/fr\/input-to-national-approaches-an-analysis-of-sustainable-finance-roadmaps-charting-the-path-to-financial-system-transformation-by-fc4s\/","title":{"rendered":"Input to National Approaches \u2013 An analysis of Sustainable finance roadmaps: charting the path to financial system transformation by FC4S"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\">As governments around the world strive to combat the burgeoning threat posed by climate change, policy makers are engaged in a groundbreaking effort to realign their national financial systems to support the objectives of sustainable development.\u00a0Having long viewed their institutional objectives as either ancillary to climate policy, policymakers increasingly recognize the financial system\u2019s vital crosscutting role in promoting climate change mitigation and adaptation, as well as sustainable development more broadly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">To organize the different range of actors involved in the transition to sustainable finance around a common conception of their roles and responsibilities, national authorities have started to deploy strategic roadmaps.\u00a0These documents generally provide recommendations to help prioritize actions and coordinate activities among policymakers, supervisors, regulators, associations, corporations, and other financial sector participants to accelerate the expansion of sustainable finance. Furthermore, these reports have served as important inputs to the development of actionable sustainable finance strategies, along with several other inputs and agreements, including those from international forums, networks, and organizations.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The document offers a detailed analysis of the structure and characteristics of 41 sustainable finance roadmaps created by 30 countries between 2014 and 2021, including an in-depth case studies section \u2013 covering\u00a0Canada, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Nigeria, Switzerland, Germany, and Ireland \u2013\u00a0to understand how their recommendations are being considered within national activities and strategies.
