Key Responsibility

Under the responsibility of the CEO and in close collaboration with the Deputy CEO, provide expert guidance and in-depth analysis on sustainable finance regulatory matters.

Main Tasks

  • Monitor global, european and national regulatory developments and updates in sustainable finance.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on sustainable finance regulations, policies and ESG frameworks and standards.
  • Coach and advise financial institutions on sustainable finance regulatory matters.
  • Review consultations of regulatory bodies, industry associations, and standard-setting organisations.
  • Prepare policy and regulatory briefings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Policy or Law, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sustainable finance regulations’ review or policy development
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable finance regulations. ESG frameworks and standards are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with financial markets, investment principles, and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Good presentations and public speaking skills.
  • Very good command of English and French (written and spoken). German and/or Luxembourgish are an advantage.

Who we are

The Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Initiative (LSFI) (www.lsfi.lu) is Luxembourg’s coordinating entity on Sustainable Finance.

The LSFI was founded in January 2020 by the Luxembourg Government (Ministry of Finance and Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity), Luxembourg for Finance (the agency for the development of the financial centre) and the High Council for Sustainable Development (Conseil Supérieur pour un Développement Durable), an independent advisory body to the Luxembourg Government about sustainable development matters that represents the civil society.
