Key Responsibility
Under the responsibility of the CEO and in close collaboration with the Deputy CEO, provide expert guidance and in-depth analysis on sustainable finance regulatory matters to contribute to LSFI’s activities and strategic development and support its broad, multi-actor and international network of stakeholders in Luxembourg.
Main Tasks
- Drive LSFI regulatory knowledge and prepare briefings.
- Monitor global, European, and national regulatory developments and updates in sustainable finance.
- Develop LSFI understanding on sustainable finance regulations, policies, and ESG frameworks and standards.
- Gather market feedback and guide stakeholders on sustainable finance regulatory matters.
- Support financial associations and public bodies on sustainable finance regulatory matters.
- Propose reports & studies and upskilling opportunities on sustainable finance regulations.
- Represent LSFI in global, European, and national sustainable finance regulatory working groups.
- Monitor and analyze sustainable finance regulations, ensuring that the LSFI Resource Hub Toolkit on EU Regulations is kept up to date with the most relevant information, and develop additional content according to market needs;
- Feed the LSFI newsletter and social media channel by identifying and selecting relevant regulatory news, ensuring up to date, high-quality dissemination to our audience;
- Raise awareness on sustainable finance regulations through participation in presentations, public interventions, and roundtables.
Preferred Qualifications
- More than 8 years of professional experience, with particular focus on sustainable finance regulations review or policy development
- Relevant University degree with a preference for Master’s degree in Public Policy or Law, or a related field.
- Great understanding of financial markets, investment principles, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks and standards are an advantage.
- Strong interest in sustainable finance and motivation to support the transition of the financial sector.
- Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Excellent presentations and public speaking skills.
- Excellent command of English and French (written and spoken). German and/or Luxembourgish are an advantage.
Who we are
The Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Initiative (LSFI) (www.lsfi.lu) is Luxembourg’s coordinating entity on Sustainable Finance.
The LSFI was founded in January 2020 by the Luxembourg Government (Ministry of Finance and Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity), Luxembourg for Finance (the agency for the development of the financial centre) and the High Council for Sustainable Development (Conseil Supérieur pour un Développement Durable), an independent advisory body to the Luxembourg Government about sustainable development matters that represents the civil society.
