Key responsibility
The Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Initiative (LSFI) is looking for a Sustainable Finance Intern to support the team in researching and monitoring key market trends and regulatory updates on sustainable finance as well as contribute to the overall mission of the LSFI to raise awareness and develop sustainable finance in Luxembourg.
Main tasks
- Research and provide relevant content such as reports, news and events to support the work of the LSFI Working Groups and Advisory Boards.
- Monitor key market trends and support the preparation of sustainable finance reports and publications (Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Study and Women in Finance Charter).
- Stay up to date regarding publications and research papers on sustainable finance as well as producing executive summaries when necessary.
- Follow up and produce comprehensive notes on sustainable finance webinars and online events.
- Research sustainable finance-related tools, standards and best practices.
- Produce and edit sustainable finance-related presentations.
Preferred qualifications
- University Masters’ degree in a relevant topic (Finance & Sustainable Finance, Economics, Political Science, Legal, Business Administration, Environmental Science).
- A very good command of English (written and spoken) with proven drafting skills. Good command of spoken and written French, German and/or Luxembourgish are considered as an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word…).
- A valid work permit.

The LSFI is Luxembourg’s coordinating entity on sustainable finance, driving change across the whole ecosystem as a Centre of Excellence and Knowledge Hub, supporting the financial sector to accelerate the financing of the transition, and measuring progress. Our vision is for Luxembourg to be a global centre for sustainable finance.
The LSFI was founded in January 2020 by the Luxembourg Government (Ministry of Finance and Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity), Luxembourg for Finance (the agency for the development of the financial centre) and the High Council for Sustainable Development (Conseil Supérieur pour un Développement Durable), an independent advisory body to the Luxembourg Government about sustainable development matters that represents the civil society.
