Revisiting the Ecological Footprint

The figures from the Global Footprint Network (GFN) make it clear that Luxembourg still has to make considerable efforts to reduce its ecological footprint.
In order to better interpret the figures, the Conseil Supérieur pour un Développement Durable (CSDD) commissioned the LIST (Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology) to examine certain elements of the methodology applied and, on this basis, established a differentiated calculation of Luxembourg’s ecological footprint, aimed at better reflecting the country’s profile and guiding efforts to systematically reduce its ecological footprint.
