Do we need a social taxonomy?
The FDEF House for Sustainable Governance and Markets (HSGM) at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Initiative (LSFI) are pleased to invite you on Monday, 29th November from 16:00 to 17:30 (CET) to the online event „Do we need a social taxonomy?.
This session will look at the social dimension from the perspective of a member of the EU Sustainable Finance Platform, a microfinance player and a mainstream asset manager. Keynote speeches/short presentations by each panelists will be followed by a discussion moderated by the new chair of the Sustainable Finance programme of the University of Luxembourg (Prof. Michael Halling) to explore:
- The EU draft social taxonomy and other existing international standards on the social dimension of investments.
- The current status: where the industry stands and how the social dimension could gradually be taken into consideration.
- The challenges ahead and how to overcome them.
