PCAF Masterclass

FULLY BOOKED

The LSFI is pleased to invite you to its upcoming in-person, free masterclass on Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) on Tuesday 16th April, from 9:00 to 13:00hrs.

What is the masterclass about?

Following up on the work and the recommendations of the LSFI Working Group on Climate Measurement and Reporting, the LSFI is organising an in-person masterclass to delve into the PCAF standard.

The working group has recommended the PCAF standard as a very suitable and comprehensive methodology to support financial institutions in measuring GHG emissions, the first step in their net zero transition.

The masterclass will introduce the standard as well as how to use it by incorporating both theoretical and practical elements. It will offer the audience concrete information regarding its implementation, firsthand insights and best practices.

What is the agenda?

9:00 to 09:45 – Registration & Networking Breakfast

09:45 to 10:45 – Introduction to PCAF and Q&A, by Marco Tormen, Europe and DACHLI Lead at Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF).

10:45 to 12:45 – Case studies, and best practices from industry experts (stay tuned, speakers are to be announced soon!).

12:45 to 13:00 – Q&A and Closing Remarks

Who does the masterclass target?

The masterclass targets Luxembourg’s financial professionals, ideally those engaged in sustainable finance or with some exposure to the field. Previous experience or knowledge of PCAF is not necessary.

What is PCAF?

PCAF is an industry-led initiative developed in 2015 as a carbon emission measuring standard for absolute GHG emissions. Its objective is to facilitate financial industry alignment with the Paris Agreement Goals by helping financial institutions assess and disclose the GHG emissions associated with their financial activities (e.g., their loans and investments) through GHG accounting.
