Key responsibility
Assess and monitor key market, regulatory and research trends in sustainable finance at national, EU and international levels to contribute to LSFI’s activities and strategic development and support its broad, multi-actor and international network of stakeholders in Luxembourg.
Main tasks
- Continuously follow the latest developments of sustainable finance in Europe, as well as broader trends within the international sustainable finance ecosystem, reasearching relevant content (reports, news, events, best practices) to support the financial sector’s transition towards greater sustainability.
- Contribute to the production of LSFI yearly Study on the status of sustainable finance in Luxembourg, as well as future studies and surveys by liaising with experts and data providers, conducting research, and drafting analyses on key trends and opportunities for the Luxembourg financial sector.
- Support the LSFI management with the LSFI’s international relations by acting as point of contact for partners and foreign delegations, by preparing the required content (presentations, speeches, briefing materials) and participating in meetings, ensuring follow-up after each mission through the drafting of reports and strategic notes, and supporting future cooperation opportunities for Luxembourg.
- Monitor and analyse sustainable finance instruments (initiatives, frameworks, standards, and tools), as well as trainings, ensuring that the LSFI Resource Hub Toolkit is kept up to date with the most relevant information, and develop additional content according to market needs.
- Feed the LSFI newsletter by identifying and selecting relevant content, ensuring up to date, high-quality dissemination to our audience.
- Feed the LSFI activities and events calendar, ensuring its completeness, relevance, and visibility across the ecosystem;
- Actively contribute to working groups led by partners and stakeholders on key sustainable finance topics (e.g., ESG standards, ESG data, studies, public policies).
- Raise awareness on sustainable finance through participation in presentations, public interventions, and roundtables.
Preferred qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional experience in sustainable finance or other relevant areas.
- Relevant University degree with a preference for sustainable finance or sustainability.
- Good knowledge of the Luxembourg financial markets and ecosystem.
- Good knowledge and understanding of Sustainable Finance and finance in general.
- Strong interest in sustainable finance and motivation to support the transition of the financial sector.
- Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills, ability to communicate and network effectively.
- Very good command of English and French (written and spoken).
- Experience in project management, or working groups is considered an advantage.

The LSFI is Luxembourg’s coordinating entity on sustainable finance, driving change across the whole ecosystem as a Centre of Excellence and Knowledge Hub, supporting the financial sector to accelerate the financing of the transition, and measuring progress. Our vision is for Luxembourg to be a global centre for sustainable finance.
The LSFI was founded in January 2020 by the Luxembourg Government (Ministry of Finance and Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity), Luxembourg for Finance (the agency for the development of the financial centre) and the High Council for Sustainable Development (Conseil Supérieur pour un Développement Durable), an independent advisory body to the Luxembourg Government about sustainable development matters that represents the civil society.
