About the Innovation and Retail Products for Sustainable Finance Working Group

The Innovation and Retail Products for Sustainable Finance Working Group will focus on assessing sustainable finance products for retail investors in Luxembourg and other European markets.

First Objective

Identify and assess the current offer of sustainable finance investment products (banking, asset management, insurance, etc.) for retail investors in Luxembourg.

Second Objective

Analyse the offer of sustainable finance products for retail investors in other European countries, including incentives like tax benefits, and highlight key gaps and potential solutions.

Members

The working group aims to be composed of professionals with relevant experience and expertise in sustainable finance and innovation and retail products who are willing to contribute actively and regularly to the objectives of this working group. Working group members include representatives of the:

  • Banking, asset management, and insurance firms;
  • Fintech companies;
  • Financial industry associations and institutions;
  • Governmental bodies and international organisations;
  • Legal and tax experts;
  • NGOs and think tanks;
  • Supervisory and regulatory authorities.

The LSFI Board of Directors will select the working group members, as well as the Chair and Co-chair, based on their different areas of expertise.

Working Group’s Meetings & Commitment

  • Frequency: The working group will meet every 2 to 4 weeks, with each session lasting 1.5 to 2 hours.
  • Format: Meetings will be primarily hybrid, with key meetings (such as the first and final meetings) expected to take place in person.
  • Duration: The working group’s work is expected to span from November 2024 to June 2025.
  • Attendance: Regular attendance is essential. Persistent absences (3 or more) could result in exclusion from the group.
