The Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Initiative (LSFI) is pleased to announce the return of its flagship event, “Finance for a Sustainable Future,” for the second consecutive year. Following a successful first edition last year, the Summit aims to explore the latest trends in sustainable finance and provide valuable insights for finance professionals to stay ahead of the curve and overcome challenges in the industry.
This year’s Summit has seen a significant increase in registrants compared to 2024, with over 160 registrants per masterclass, totalling over 400 people a day.
The event, held over two half-days from the afternoon of September 17th to the morning of September 18th, will take place at the picturesque Neumünster Abbey in the heart of Luxembourg City.
The Summit will have the honour of welcoming esteemed speakers: H.E. Gilles Roth, Luxembourg Minister of Finance, and H.E. Serge Wilmes, Luxembourg Minister for the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity, who will deliver opening remarks on the 17th and 18th, respectively. Claude Marx, Director General of the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), will grace the Summit with a keynote speech on the first day, before delving into the masterclasses.
Four masterclasses, combining theoretical sessions with practical case studies from cross-sectoral and renowned national and international experts, will be featured. The topics covered will include:
- The European Regulatory Framework
- Just Transition
- Impact Investing
- Climate Adaptation and Resilience
“In a time of regulatory uncertainty and increasing pressure to gather robust data, the financial sector, across banking, insurance, and asset management, is seeking a clear anchor. The LSFI, Luxembourg’s coordinating entity for sustainable finance, aims to provide clear guidance and unlock opportunities in emerging themes for the financial sector, including innovative financing instruments that channel investments towards sustainable finance. This year, we will tackle Just Transition, Impact Investing, and Climate Adaptation, topics that focus not only on financial returns but also on the broader social and environmental impact of investments.” – Nicoletta Centofanti, CEO of the LSFI
