LSFI Summit – Finance for a Sustainable Future
17th & 18th September 2025, Luxembourg
The 2025 LSFI Summit “Finance for a Sustainable Future”, Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Initiative’s flagship event, once again brought together leading experts and practitioners to explore the evolving landscape of sustainable finance and share actionable insights on how the financial sector could navigate the sustainable finance journey.
Held in Luxembourg, at the Neumünster Abbey, on the afternoon of September 17th and the morning of September 18th, the two-day summit combined keynote speeches with four in-depth masterclasses on pressing topics shaping sustainable finance.
This year’s masterclasses explored: the EU Sustainable Finance Regulatory Framework, Transition Finance, Impact Investing, and Climate Adaptation and Resilience.
These sessions provided participants with timely insights and practical perspectives on some of the most pressing themes in the sector.
Designed for financial professionals working in or with an interest in sustainable finance, the 2025 LSFI Summit offered a platform for learning, peer exchange, and collaboration across sectors.

Delve into the Masterclasses
The LSFI masterclasses are knowledge-sharing sessions to upskill financial professionals on concrete sustainable finance topics to help the sector advance and lead on this matter. The masterclasses combine theory and case studies, aiming to foster a knowledgeable community on sustainable finance. They also serve as a forum to exchange best practices and discuss practical solutions.

The masterclass showcased how the different EU sustainable finance regulatory pieces interacted together, taking into account upcoming developments. The case studies focused on how financial institutions dealt with regulation, how they were organised internally, which data sources they used, and which processes they had put in place.
The masterclass provided an overview of what transition finance is and what it means in practice. It highlighted the type of investments, how to screen those, how to define transition finance, its main challenges, and best practices.
